Jennifer Garner was originally born in Houston Texas on April 17th in 1972. Her family was however raised at Charleston West Virginia. William John Garner was her father and a chemical engineering for Union Carbide. The mother of her Patricia Ann taught at a local university. To follow in the footsteps of her father, she obtained a degree in chemical engineering. To fulfill her ambition to be an actor, she decided to move into New York and try her acting career in the world of acting in Hollywood. She was a chef at a New York restaurant and appeared in Broadway productions. Her husband of the first time Scott Foley met her on the show "Felicity," where she appeared as a character. Garner was a star in the romantic comedy "13 Goin' on 30" in which she portrayed the role of a teenage girl trapped within a 30 year-old's body. Garner chose Gary Winick, who directed the film. Both Winick and Garner continued to work together in pursuing other projects even after his death. Garner was made an ambassador for artists by Save the Children U.S.A. The role includes promotion of national literacy and nutrition, as well as early education, and many other aspects. Garner has been a member of the board for this nonprofit organization from 2014. She is a proponent of early learning for children.
