Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale (born April 2, 1985) is an American professional player of the basket ball. She is part of the Dallas Wings and the Women's National Basketball Association. She played for Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the college level before being selected as the 5th overall pick by the Wings at the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale was a Milwaukee Wisconsin native born to Yolanda Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale and Dare Ogunbowale are both 20-years old. Being the youngest of her siblings she was the one who was most spoilt by her parents. Gregory his father served with the Nigerian Army. Ogunbowale comes from an active lineage of family members. Her mother Yolanda played softball at DePaul as was her brother Dare used to be football player. Arike received her diploma from Divine Savior Holy Angels High School situated within her own hometown. The school was accompanied by three years playing varsity. Her skills helped her win impressive victories while at the school. With 73 high-school starts throughout her playing career, she is averaging 1,477 point and 739 rebound. Ogunbowale was crowned gold at the 2013 U16 FIBA Americas Championships and 2014 FIBA U17 World Championships, and the 2013 3x3 FIBA U18 Championships. She was named the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team on July 7, 2014. Ogunbowale is also a part of the ACC All-Freshman Team, after her first season in a college. Kobe Bryant himself congratulated Ogunbowale following her NCCA Tournament big shot. Ogunbowale's basketball career is starting off well and will keep going in that direction.
